Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves...

Today's post is going to be a tad more somber than usual.
This is a clip from a BBC documentary released October of last year. The documentary is well worth watching in it's entirety, but this particular clip sums up the complexity of the situation in the allotment of five minutes.

I'm not posting this for political reasons, only out of a sincere desire that more people will hear about these people, their struggles, and the life they seek.

Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

~ Matthew 5: 2-10
